Youth and Family Services Department

The Youth and Family Services Department provides Asian youth and families with guidance and support as they adapt and integrate into American society. AACS works to reduce risk factors, discourage negative behaviors, and promote a positive environment for youth and families to become healthy, contributing members of a larger community. The Youth and Family Services Department is made up of two different programs:

Family Support Program

 

The Family Support Program (FSP) is a program which helps Asian immigrant children and families who have experienced any types of violence :

 

  • Domestic violence
  • Sexual Assault
  • Human trafficking
  • Hate Crime

 

FSP

 

FSP provides help through culturally sensitive case management , referral services and emotional support, focusing on Asian families residing around the central Ohio region. For more information, see the Family Suppor Program page, or contact:

Youth Program

The Youth Programs at AACS provide opportunities for students Kindergarten through 12th grade to increase their educational learning, develop leadership skills, increase self-esteem and social skills and realize their potential as students, Asian American and memers of the larger community. These programs target children of Asian refugees and immigrants facing significant socio-economic disadvantages and social isolation due to cultural and language barriers. The Youth programs include the following:

 

  • Health Asian Youth(HAY) After School Program
  • Summer HAY Children1
  • GenerAsian neXt Conference
