Program Assistant - Healthy Asian Youth
DUTIES:
1. Transport children involved in youth programs to and from activities in agency vehicle.
2. Coordinate transportation logistics with AACS staff and participants’ parents.
3. Maintain the agency vehicle by keeping it clean, vacuumed and in working order, including arranging to have oil changes, annual maintenance checks, etc.
4. Assisting in coordination and supervision of Healthy Asian Youth After-School and Summer programs, as well as provide mentoring and tutoring to participants.
5. Provide outreach to the community in order to assist in recruiting clients and volunteers.
6. Provide information/education to youth participants and their parents about the availability and benefits of youth programs.
7. Conduct home visits/family assessments as needed.
8. Participate in weekly team meetings and monthly department and all staff meetings.
9. Maintain a professional appearance and manner reflective of the high standards of AACS at all times.
10. Any other duties the supervisor might deem necessary for the best interest of the overall organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associate’s degree in education, child care or related field strongly preferred.
• Experience working with children, individually and in groups, required.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record required.
• Comfortable driving around the Columbus area during evening hours.
• Knowledge of A/PI cultures highly desirable.
• Bi-lingual in Asian language preferred, but not required.
